As the war broke out ,we all looked on in horror as the people of Ukraine tried to keep their loved ones safe. However, not only did they attempt to protect their loved ones they also rushed to protect their culture, their art and their music.
DISTANT DRUMS
Distant Drums is a dynamic and thought provoking experience that tells the story of Reggae Sound System culture and its role in the fight for racial equality. Written by Madu Messenger, narrated by Macka B, soundtrack by Vibronics. Distant Drums went on the road in 2021 and 2022 touring to 24 festivals all over England reaching over 35,000 people. Distant Drums can be booked as an outdoor show, a Light Night Installation or an indoor digital heritage installation.
